Watch: Joe Biden tells Donald Trump to ‘get a life’

US president also tells Republican presidential candidate to stop spreading misinformation about Hurricane Milton

Joe Biden told Donald Trump to “get a life” and stop spreading misinformation about Hurricane Milton.
Asked by a reporter at a White House briefing if he had spoken to the former president to ask him to stop spreading misinformation, Mr Biden said: “Are you kidding me?”
He then looked directly into the television camera and said: “Mr President Trump, former President Trump – get a life, man, help these people.”
It comes after Trump was accused of deliberately spreading misinformation about Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
The former president has been accused of lying about claims that victims of the storms will only receive $750 in compensation and that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) had rerouted funds for hurricane relief to migrants.
Trump also claimed the president had ignored calls from the governor of Georgia, and that people living in Republican areas had been given less help.
He also claimed that in North Carolina there had been “no helicopters [and] no rescue.”
Mr Biden on Wednesday evening accused Trump of spreading an “onslaught of lies” about the federal response.
Helene tore through Florida and caused flooding and adverse weather in Georgia and the Carolinas, to Tennessee, Virginia, and Kentucky. Its total death toll topped 130.
On Wednesday night, Hurricane Milton made landfall on Florida’s west coast.
So far, the storm’s death toll stands at 12, according to NBC News.
